My Story

I'm Rhiannon, a Queer Contemporary Artist, Researcher, Poet and more recently a Campaigner!

With all of us in lockdown and the London Marathon canceled, charities are asking for your help to make up vital lost funds and have some fun along the way, and so we are all taking part in the #TwoPointSix challenge.

I am starting a 26 day online Instagram art Exhibition, where I will be sharing my art and poetry surrounding Queer narratives and my own experiences of growing up Queer in a mining village in West Yorkshire, starting from Sunday 26 April when it would have been the 40th London Marathon. I truly believe that one of the most important things I could do in this life would be to support and facilitate spaces in which the LGBTQ+ community can preserve and share our past, present and futures. We must work together to ensure we keep moving towards our shared goal of opening a national LGBTQ+ museum.

It would mean the world to us if you could join in and spare £2.60, £26, or anything in between in order for us to reach our goals. Or perhaps you could share a post or two on social media from my 2.6 challenge or create your own to spread the word about what we at Queer Britain are about.
